John McCain's presidential campaign is trying to recruit New Hampshire supporters to run for political office.
In an e-mail to supporters, McCain's New Hampshire campaign manager Jim Barnett wrote:

"The New Hampshire Republican Party is seeking candidates for offices up and down the ticket all around the state. Now McCain?
Who else will need to step in to do Fergus' job?

This clearly sounds like the McCain campaign and the NH GOP are coordinating, EXACTLY what they should be doing. This is the first good sign I have seen in awhile.
Good To Have Candidates
It's good to have candidates for all the offices, Republicans - Democrats - all political philosophies - diverse backgrounds and experiences. It keeps democracy strong.
I'm looking forward to the discussion for this November, on the state and national levels. I think the Democrats here and nationally will do especially well, but who knows, it might be different in 2010 or 2012. The back-and-forth of politics is good for America. And the dialogue is good for the process.
And hopefully, the personalities will play a backseat in all the races to the issues and visions offered by the candidates. Well, at least we can dream.
