Carusone leaves NH Dems, joins Shea-Porter
By Brian LawsonPia Carusone, spokeswoman for the New Hampshire Democratic Party, has left her position to manage Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter's campaign.
"I was thrilled to be asked as there is no better an advocate for middle class Granite Staters than Congresswoman Shea-Porter. She is doing a terrific job serving her constituents and is very well respected in Washington among her colleagues on both sides of the aisle," Carusone said.
Carusone added that the campaign will assemble a "professional operation."
"Her message of pragmatic solutions to job loss in America, the war in Iraq and the healthcare crisis resonates with Granite Staters. We will be putting together a professional operation that puts high value on the grassroots and positive dialogue about the future of our state and country."
Carusone has been with the state party since August 2007.
In 2006, Carusone managed the campaign for Maryland Congressman John Sarbanes and in 2004 she was a field coordinator, in New Hampshire, for Howard Dean.
There is no word whether or not her position will be filled.

The Democratic staff is 28 or 30 people strong with talented people working out of three offices. Compare that to the Republican office staffed by two people. Neither of them were there last month.
Buckley has built a great group of young people working hard to support the party's local organizations and candidates. Cullen's staff fled the state!

NH Dems Staff Turnover Continues
The turnover at NH Democratic Party headquarters continues- it is like a darn revolving door over there. This might be a great pickup for Carol ( I don't know Pia) but it is certainly another loss from NH Dems who have lost two executive directors, a communications director, numerous field staff and a coordinated campaign director since Buckley became chair. Interesting.
