The New Hampshire Democratic Party has named David Scannell their new Executive Director.
Scannell recently was the center of controversy when Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta said he should resign from the School Department because Scannell voted in favor of a bill that would have decriminalized marijuana.
"I've known David for years" Ray Buckley, Chairman of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, said in a statement. "His diverse legal, managerial, and political experience will be a perfect addition to our already skillful and energetic team as we work to expand our majorities in the State House, re-elect Gov. Lynch, Reps. Shea-Porter and Hodes, send Jeanne Shaheen to the US Senate and elect a Democratic President in November."
Scannell takes over from Jennifer Kuzma, who now works for Gov. John Lynch's re-election campaign.
