Barack Obama's campaign is not planning to compete for either of New Hampshire's open at-large seats, Obama's senior state advisor says.
"The Obama campaign has no intention of putting up candidates for either of the Democratic National Committee positions," Demers said in an e-mail. "This is a time for New Hampshire Democrats to begin unifying for the November election and the contest for the National Committee positions is for the members of the New Hampshire Democratic State Committee to decide without any outside involvement."
On Saturday, the Democratic State Committee will elect two people to fill New Hampshire's two at-large DNC seats. The seats represent the Granite State before the national Democratic Party, however whoever is elected will not be a superdelegate at the summer convention because the new delegates will not be seated until after the convention.
Current delegates, who also serve as superdelegates, Annita Freedman and Gaetan DiGangi have endorsed Hillary Clinton.
Kathy Sullivan, a Clinton supporter, is running uncontested to fill the seat left by Freedman's retirement.
DiGangi is being challenged by State Sen. Peter Burling.
Burling supported John Edwards in the primary and has said he does not plan on endorsing Clinton or Obama.

It doesn't matter what the Obama campaign wants - someone who is still unapologetic for signing the anti-Obama abortion letter should not be elected for this post.
Demers is the problem
It's all about keeping Jim Demers happy. Jimmy doesn't want to make any waves. His influence peddling business comes before Obama's intereests, after all. He was a drag on the Obama campaign from the outset but Matt Rodriguez never figured it out.
