CLEGG: HODES IS SERVING FROM AFAR
We can hear his voice over the phone or on CSPAN, but when can we see him in person?
Concord, NH – US Congressman Paul Hodes, NH 2nd District, just announced he’ll be holding a town hall meeting for the people of New Hampshire’s North Country…on the phone. http://www.politickernh.com/brianlawson/1221/congressman-hodes-hold-telephone-town-hall-meeting-north-country
This is on the heels of his announcement that you can mail him a letter in Washington DC to tell him how you feel. http://www.politickernh.com/zach-silber/1138/hodes-launches-voices-people-initiative
“I see a pattern here. Paul Hodes is serving from afar. First he tells people to write him letters and he’ll read them on the floor of the House so people can hear him say their names on CSPAN, then he tells people he’ll grace them with his presence, but only over the phone,” said Bob Clegg, 2nd Congressional District Candidate. “Paul has to remember he is not the royal who is inviting us commoners to be able to touch his proverbial coat. He is sent to Washington to represent us and it is a fundamental duty that he interacts with those he represents.”
In his announcement of the town hall Hodes notes “We have the technology to connect with our community…”
“Yes Paul we have the technology to connect with our community. It’s called planes, trains and automobiles to pull you out of the beltway and actually put you in front of your constituents,” said Clegg.
Meanwhile, Bob Clegg is continuing his Brown Bag with Bob activities! Bob may be coming to a town near you to enjoy a lunch and chat about whatever is on your minds. To learn more about it, go to his website and check it out www.cleggforcongress.com.
