The Horn Economic Plan: More Congressional Hearings
(Hillsboro) Hillsboro Republican Grant Bosse today reacted to Jennifer Horn’s attempt to pander to Patriots fans, and her willingness to rely on additional Congressional interference to boost a struggling economy.
“Reacting to Arlen Specter’s grandstanding in Washington, Jennifer Horn tried a little grandstanding of her own,” Bosse said. “I can’t blame her for pandering to Patriots fans, but I can’t understand how she thinks more Congressional hearings and greater government interference is any better than Specter’s football witch-hunt.”
Horn criticized Specter for calling for an independent investigation into the NFL, arguing, “Where are the hearings on reducing the price of gas? Where are the hearings on how we are going to jumpstart the economy? Where are the hearings on how we are going to create jobs?” In fact, Congress has already held several hearings on the economy already this year, including an April 24th hearing specifically on gas prices.
Bosse countered that these hearings, and increased Congressional meddling in the economy that comes out of them, have led to high gas prices, a slow economy, and slow job growth, and questioned whether Horn’s approach would lead to anything different.
“Paul Hodes proposed solution to any and every problem is another Congressional hearing or another Blue-Ribbon Commission. Now, Jennifer Horn wants to use the same approach,” Bosse continued. “My solution is to get Congress out of the way of the American economy, so we can let small businesses and entrepreneurs take risks and create jobs. In fact, if Congress wants to waste its time dealing with the NFL, they’ll probably do less damage than Jennifer Horn’s alternative.”
Grant Bosse is basing his campaign for Congress on free market principles and limited government. Find more about Bosse’s campaign at www.Bosse2008.com.
