upcoming prez debates on campus
Hello,
I am a grad student at Boston University in history/social science education. I am currently taking a course in qualitative research methods, and my semester-long project is tentatively titled "How are college college students seeking to influence the outcome of this year's American presidential general election campaign as it unfolds?".
I wonder if you and/or members of your College Democrats chapter plan to watch this upcoming Friday night presidential debate. If so even if informally, it could be an opportunity for me to meet with you and other members of your organization. The goal of my research, which I also plan to perform with some College Republicans, is to explore the role of the 18-24 year old cohort in this year's presidential election, since that is one prominent age bracket that seems to be more involved this year than in other recent prez cycles.
Please let me know if your group plans to watch this 9/26 debate and/or the other 2 prez debates in October, and if you would be agreeable to meeting with me at a suitable place on your campus for one of the debates. I have in mind talking with you and perhaps a few others of your group for perhaps 15 minutes before the debate, watching the debate with your group, and then discussing your perceptions briefly afterward. Feel free to forward this note to other NH College Democrats organizers.
Thanks for your consideration,
