Red Sox legend helps Bradley

Former Congressman Jeb BradleyFormer Congressman Jeb BradleyLONDONDERRY- Red Sox legend Rico Petrocelli spent the night attending a fundraiser for former Congressman Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro).

"He's a man of dignity he is a man of character. The one thing I love, and maybe this is my athletic background, he's a fighter. I was so happy to hear that he was going to go at it again," Petrocelli told the group.

Petrocelli played for the Boston Red Sox from 1963-1976. Over the course of his career, he had 210 home runs and 773 RBIs.

Bradley said that he remembered listening to Red Sox games on his radio while he was in high school and later in college.

"Everyone knows what a big Red Sox fan I am. My staff told me to leave my hat in my car. Every once-in-awhile I do what they tell me to do," he said.

During his speech, Bradley touched upon taxes, immigration and health care.

"If you want to see how expensive free health care is just watch the Canadians who run to this country to avoid their own system," Bradley said.

Bradley also argued that John McCain's presence would help Republicans.State Sen. Bob Clegg and state Rep. Al Baldasaro listen to Jeb BradleyState Sen. Bob Clegg and state Rep. Al Baldasaro listen to Jeb Bradley

Clegg was in attendance along with state Sen. Robert Letourneau (R-Derry) and state Rep. Al Baldasaro (R-Londonderry) and various other state representatives.

Really? Well, given that he voted the WRONG WAY on these issues every time he had the chance during his failed tenure in the House, I wish he'd stop touching them. Jeb is a failure.
