Former state Rep. Paul LaFlamme says he is "seriously leaning" towards running for the state senate.
"I've been considering running for a couple of weeks now and now that Harry has made his decision I'm seriously leaning towards running," LaFlamme told PolitickerNH.com. "I've got to talk to some people and will make a decision within a day-or-two."
LaFlamme is considering running for the Senate District 12 seat, which is held by state Sen. David Gottesman (D-Nashua). Gottesman announced two weeks ago that he will not run for re-election.
Former state Rep. Harry Haytayan announced today that he is not running for the seat. Haytayan and LaFlamme competed in a 2004 primary for the seat.
Health care advocate Peggy Gilmour (D-Hollis) has decided that she will run for Gottesman's seat.
The New Hampshire Sierra Club endorsed a slate of Democrats for the offices of governor, executive council and state senate.
