NASHUA- Congressional candidate Jennifer Horn (R-Nashua) met with a small group of supporters to discuss a variety of issues.
During the "Women for Horn" event, she touched upon health care, the economy and education.
"One of the challenges we have is the idea that we can create a one-size-fit all plan and drop it on individual students," Horn said about education.
Horn is competing in the Republican primary for the Second Congressional District. State Sen. Bob Clegg (R-Hudson), Jim Steiner (R-Concord) and Grant Bosse (R-Hillsboro) are also running for the seat now held by U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord).
The former talk show host added that tax cuts should be followed with cuts in spending.
"Government is extremely bloated," she said. "As Republicans we cannot talk about tax cuts without talking about spending cuts."
Horn said she would also improve communication between Congress and local constituents.
"One way to do that is to come back home every weekend instead of spending the weekends at some embassy party in Washington."
