Today in the U.S. Senate race

Editors note: This is a daily post that aims to provide a round-up of daily events surrounding the U.S. Senate race in New Hampshire.

The San Francisco Chronicle says that U.S. Sen. John Sununu (R-Waterville Valley) will be a pivotal vote for the upcoming Warner-Lieberman climate change bill.

Bonnie Riatt will host a fund-raiser for former governor Jeanne Shaheen (D-Madbury) on August 12. Tickets go on sale June 9. During the New Hampshire primary, Riatt campaigned for John Edwards.

In Londonderry, Sununu hosted a press conference with U.S. Sen. Judd Gregg (R-Rye) and CDC Director Dr. Julie L. Gerberding to discuss steps to prevent EEE.
