Manchester – Manchester Democrats have fielded a full slate of legislative candidates who will work hard to continue the legacy of progress and fiscally responsible leadership that State House Democrats and Gov. Lynch have cultivated, while the Republican Party continues to offer only the same failed leadership of the past, based on tired policies and political gimmicks.
Below is a statement by Manchester City Democrats Chair Chris Pappas responding to the Manchester Republican candidates filing and 5-point pledge:
"This is getting ridiculous. The Republican Party has more pledges than Animal House. Our hard-working Democratic candidates only make one pledge, and it's not one designed to be a political gimmick. We pledge to work with Gov. Lynch to provide common sense leadership for Manchester. Period."
"I look forward to the filings of our seasoned incumbents and dedicated new candidates over the next week. They comprise one of the strongest and most enthusiastic Democratic slates in recent memory. Republicans may know how to make promises, but Democrats deliver results, and that's exactly what our candidates will do in when we claim victory in November."
