Why Independent, Why Senate District 12, Why Betty Hall???
A Deadline decision on June 13 to run independently of both major parties for the State Senate in District 12 has confounded Betty Hall's friends and foes. Hall says her voice in the Senate would be powerful because she is unafraid to speak truth to power and will not succumb to the selfish voices of connivers, career climbers and fat cats.
As an Independednt candidate for the State Senate, Betty Hall will restrict and encourange small contributions and run a frugal capaign. The unconscionable cost of running as a party nominee has highlighted Hall’s initiative. Obama has proved that raising small donations from everyday people who believe in you and your objectives can enable any citizen to run for office without the shackles of political “paybacks” and compromising their beliefs.
