(MANCHESTER)- Ward 3 Alderman Peter Sullivan recently participated in an online program on sex offender residency restrictions. The discussion sponsored by the National Institute of Justice and the Government Innovators Network at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
"Many Manchester residents are concerned about the presence of sex offenders in our community. Those of us holding public office have a duty to study the research that has been conducted and find out what policies are most effective when it comes to protecting the public", said Sullivan. "The Kennedy School program has given me some helpful info that I plan to put to use as we try to develop a set of policies that protect Manchester's residents".
Peter Sullivan is serving his first term as alderman from downtown's Ward 3. An attorney, he resides on Blodget St. with his wife, Katya.
