Cullen proposes McCain/Obama town halls

New Hampshire Republican Party Chairman Fergus Cullen says that U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) should hold a joint town hall forum in the Granite State.

"The town hall meeting format featuring unscreened questions from non-handpicked audiences is a great test for a presidential candidate," Cullen wrote in an e-mail to the Politico.

Cullen also proposed that the event be held in Freedom, New Hampshire because "in an Obama presidency, we'd have less of it: Less freedom to decide how to spend our money, because more of it would be taken by the government in higher taxes..."

Yawn

Is Fergus still the Republican Chairman? After not being able to recruit a viable candidate for governor and the fewest House candidates in memory, never mind that his party is broke, I am surprised he is still around sending out press releases.

Seriously, who cares?

Fewest candidates in memory?

Fewest candidates in memory? The Republicans recruited more candidates for the house than did Democrats and it was about equal to what they recruited in '04 and '06.

Huh? to your Huh?

Primaries are irrelevant.*

The Republicans only have 324 seats covered according to Fergus.

Please give me the year when less than 350 seats were covered by NH Republicans.

The Democrats have over 360 candidates - an all time record.

*If a state has 12 districts.

If party X has 18 candidates for office. Six single seat districts with three candidates in a primary and no candidates in the six remaining districts.

If party Y has 18 candidates one for each seat.

What party did a better job recuiting?
