The New Hampshire Democratic Party has begun hiring people who could canvass neighborhoods on weekday nights and weekends.
"Use your summer to do something that matters while gaining valuable job and leadership skills that will last a lifetime," according to a Facebook message sent to Democrats.
Part-time and full-time positions are available and canvassers will be placed in either the Manchester area or the Nashua/Salem area.

Kudos to the Dems
Wow, the NH Dems sure do have their act together this year. I'm impressed with the level of activity happening throughout the state.
What an exciting time to be a NH Democrat.
They have to pay?
They have to pay their door knockers?
and who uses Facebook? So hipster-liberal!
Shocked
I can't believe they have to pay people to canvass. During the presidential primary thousands of volunteers from both in-state and out-of-state canvassed and made phone calls for free.
Impressive!
Democrats are just overwhelming the Republicans. I just went down to my local office and there are over a dozen people working there! This is unbelievable!
Answering AnonymousGOP and bigdog
Bigdog, they're hiring full time people to do subsidize the volunteer force. Many potential volunteers aren't available at peak canvassing and calling hours during the week, when people are home. If the Republicans could afford to do this, they would.
AnonymousGOPer, you know who uses Facebook? An entire new generation of Americans, who vote, and who are of the age of someone who would take a job as a canvasser. If your party is satisfied with the fact that in the primaries, 5/6 voters born between 1980 and 1990 voted for Democrats, far be it from me to change your mind.
