Editors note: This is a daily summary of news about the U.S. Senate race between U.S. Sen. John Sununu (R-Waterville Valley) and former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen (D-Madbury).
Today in the U.S. Senate race Jeanne Shaheen dominated the news cycle.
Shaheen delivered a speech at Dartmouth where she called for more investment in science. Building on the speech, tomorrow the former governor will visit Dr. Ihab Farag's chemical engineering laboratory at UNH-Durham.
The New Hampshire Democratic Party's coordinated campaign says Sununu's response to voting against increasing the Medicare reimbursement rate to doctors is a "dishonest excuse" and points out that insurance companies have donated almost $650,000 to his campaign.
In The Concord Monitor June Frazer, a Concord resident said she is voting for Shaheen because based on their campaign websites Sununu "apparently lost interest in the concerns of Americans sometime during 2006."
After her speech in Hanover, Shaheen visited the opening of her Lebanon campaign office.
