Update: Horn reports $36k raised in 2Q

Second district congressional candidate Jennifer Horn (R-Nashua) raised $61,000 over the course of the second quarter. Horn finished the quarter with $21,000 cash-on-hand.

Horn called her second quarter "great" and focused on her grassroots organization.

"We have more donations from more contributors than any other Republican in the race. But the money raised does not tell the whole story," Horn said in a campaign press release. " We continue to build a superior grassroots organization that will elect me to Congress and elect both John Sununu and John McCain. The other GOP candidates cannot say that."

According to her campaign, Horn has raised $132,000 since entering the race in February and $91,000 of the $132,000 came from 300 individual donors, more than state Sen. Bob Clegg's (R-Hudson) total number of donors.

Two of Horn's rivals have also reported their second quarter numbers.

Clegg reported he also raised $60,000 but his cash-on-hand is almost $156,000. While Grant Bosse (R-Hillsboro) raised $20,000 and has almost $13,000 cash-on-hand. Jim Steiner (R-Concord) has yet to report his fundraising numbers.

Update: Clegg raised $64,560 from donors and loaned the campaign $150,000 which would bring his total amount raised to $214,576.

Update: According to Horn's FEC report she raised $35,605.40 from donors and loaned her campaign $25,000. Also, Horn only has $4,700 cash-on-hand availiable for the primary. "We have $20,000 on hand to help build a general election campaign. We're the only campaign that has build a campaign that can compete with Paul Hodes," Horn's campaign manager David Chesley told PolitickerNH.com.

Numbers don't add up

Is it just me or has anybody else noticed that Horn's numbers dont add up?

She claims to have $91k from individuals total and $51k was from last quarter. Either she is breaking her promise not to take PAC money or is lying in her press release and only raised $40k and loaned the rest to herself.

Either way, sounds like she is broke.

Horn's in trouble

When a campaign needs to lie about their FEC numbers, you know they are in trouble. Horn only raised 25 K and has 4 in the bank. Her campaign claimed that they had raised 61 before the report was filed. 25 is a long way from 61.

Grant Bosse raised 20 and has nearly 3 times the COH. And Clegg is stomping her in the fundraising department.

Not so bad

It seems to me that Horn's numbers are pretty good. Based on the most recent reports, it looks like she has received a total of $87,000 from outside contributors, compared to $82,000 for Clegg. As a sitting state senator, Clegg has access to an existing fundraising apparatus that she doesn't have. Theoretically, he should have blown her out of the water. The same goes for local endorsements - he should be cleaning her clock, but that is not the case. Clegg's lack of grassroots support is surprising. I'm betting Horn takes the primary.

Lookin' Good

Go Jennifer!!! We need real leadership, not Clegg's lazy attitude and RINO policies.

Horn is a liar. Period.

She tells Roll Call it was $71,000 that she raised and then tells others it was $61,000 that she raised and now it comes out that she only raised a little over $35,000.

If she is lying to us now, what will she do with our money if she goes to Washington?

Nevertheless, she can't change the fact that she is broke as a joke. Lie if you want Ms. Horn, but if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck...

Against all odds

Imagine entering a political race with no experience or politacl connections. Imagine trying to raise money without these connections or experience. Jenniefer Horn had the courage, passion, and conviction to enter because she knows she can make a difference. Any money she has raised to date is a remarkable achievement! I do not care who has more money. I care about who is going to be the best representative of the people of NH and Jennifer Horn is the best candidate and my choice. In fact, I am going to send her a few dollars right now.
