Libertarian presidential candidate Bob Barr is scheduled to visit Manchester on July 22.
Barr, a former U.S. Rep. from Georgia, will visit Manchester's Murphy's Taproom at 8:00pm, The Concord Monitor's Lauren Dorgan is reporting.
This is Barr's first visit to the Granite State and he will be in the state the same day has U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.)
To appear on the November ballot Barr must collect 3,000 signatures but Barr might not appear on the ballot because the Libertarian Party collected signatures for George Phillies, not Barr.
ABC has a Match-O-Meter taking quotes from each candidate you can see which candidate you most agree with. >

Typical
It's typical that the Libertarians collected signatures for the wrong guy. If it wasn't a mistake, it's even worse - it's deliberately undercutting their presidential candidate.
It's odd that the vice chair of the Manchester Republican Party is hosting this event in his bar. Yeah, he's a Free Stater.
Why does Murphy get away with this?
Can someone explain why the vice chairman of the Manchester Republicans is hosting a Libertarian campaign event? Long time Republicans should be furious. Can you picture Chris Pappas hosting a Ralph Nader rally at the Backroom?
Nick the Democrat
Nick, you're obviously a Democrat trying to stir up trouble. I'm not "hosting" the event. The organizers called me and asked if they could rent the space. The Obama campaign had a function here back in December. That doesn't mean that I'm an Obama supporter. And yes, I'm quite sure that if the Nader campaign called Chris Pappas and wanted to rent out a ballroom at the Puritan conference center, he would say yes. And he would take the check.
The Merrimack was the location of dozens of political gatherings over the years. Do you believe this somehow implied that the owners supported everyone of those candidates? We're in the hospitality business. Events like this is how we stay in business.
I'm not even attending the Barr event; I've got an MRC meeting to attend.
Nick the loner-
Nick,
Get a life-
Barr has more brains than all your liberal friends put together and I for one am thrilled he is coming to Manchester.
