ROCHESTER-State Sen. Joe Kenney (R-Wakefield) says that New Hampshire is "built" for U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).
"New Hampshire is built for John McCain. It's great to have him back," Kenney told PolitickerNH.com. "The more time he spends in New Hampshire the more people love him. As New Hampshire goes, so goes the nation."
Kenney is the only Republican candidate running against Gov. John Lynch (D-Hopkinton).
Kenney also argued that he and McCain will attract the same type of supporters.
"We obviously has a lot of independents, Democrats and Republicans who support his [McCain] candidacy and will support mine. We're going after the same supporters and with John McCain, John Sununu and Joe Kenney at the top of the ticket I think we're going to be very successful."
Kenney made the comments before McCain's town hall forum in Rochester.

The planned primary distraction.
It's too bad that the Democrats have to distract NH residents with a longshot of a primary candidate which will take away from the real debate between Lynch and Kenney.
However, it would be extremely funny if that woman actually beat Lynch.
Who is Joe Kenney?
I never heard of him.
Joe Kenney - Good for NH
Joe Kenney will make a great Governor.
He's a great guy with a superb personal background and stellar political record.

There will be no fiscal irresponsibility and no ducking the questions.
Lynch cannot even answer a question appropriately in a debate, has very poor speaking skills, and doesn't stand for anything.
His popularity is sinking and the taxpayers are tired of the fact that he allowed the spending to increase by 17.5% while they are losing their homes.
He just signed a bill that wiped out many jobs too.
Lynch's Primary
The fact that Lynch will face a primary means that even Democrats are getting sick of him.
It's not too bad, it's refreshing to see that finally people are waking up to the governor who stands for nothing but the radical leftists of his party.
Delusional
Hey NH,
1. The primary candidate is from the left. Good Grief.
2. Kenney stands for something? Really? From what I hear he almost lost reelection in 2006 because of constant promising both sides of every issue. After all these years driving to Concord, what is Joe Kenney's claim to fame? What is he an expert on? What law did he sponsor that benefits the entire state that would give him at least one reason why voters should consider him a serious candidate?
3. By the way, local property taxes are set by your town budget NOT the state budget. Jeesh, I hope you are not Kenney's tax policy expert.
Real debate?
Joe Kenney's platform is wearing a military uniform and showing pictures of his kids. If you call mouthing right wing platitudes "debating" Kenney will be a real star.
Pinko...
...has it right about Kenney. He's all stuffed shirt and platitudes, no substance. To wit: "As New Hampshire goes, so goes the nation." Sounds great, but I'm not really sure what it means or how it's related to John McCain. Plus, it's demonstrably false--winning New Hampshire sure didn't help Kerry in 2004.
Further, as a constituent of Kenney's, I can attest to him "ducking the questions." I've been disappointed by his outreach on more than one occasion. About two years ago, I contacted him to ask about a bill that was pending before the state senate. Never heard back from him. About a year later, same thing. Neither issue was anything terribly divisive, and my questions were pretty mundane. Had I taken an accusatory tone or sought to debate him on the merits of either bill, I could perhaps understand ignoring me. This was far from that situation, though.
Sorry to see the Republicans can't put up someone with a little more substance to challenge Lynch this fall.
Both candidates and the
Both candidates and the incumbent have no substance.
