Bosse Blasts Hodes "No Energy Plan"
Pelosi Gives Hodes Permission Slip to Back Drilling
(Nashua) Republican Grant Bosse blasted Congressman Paul Hodes for his recent statements on energy, which propose no new energy production. Meanwhile, Nancy Pelosi has given a permission slip to vulnerable Democrats to support offshore drilling, but promises that new drilling will never be brought to a vote.
"Now that Paul Hodes has gotten Nancy Pelosi's permission slip to support drilling, how long will he stick with his No Energy Plan?" Bosse asked.
Martin Kady II and Patrick O'Connor write in Politico this week that Pelosi have given permission to vulnerable Democrats like Paul Hodes to "express their independence if it helps them politically". Last Friday, Pelosi shut down Congress for the summer after stubbornly blocking an up-or-down vote on offshore drilling. Hodes this week wrote an editorial in the Union Leader which included no new sources of domestic energy.
"Paul Hodes offers not a drop of new oil, not a watt of new electricity, and no relief at the pumps. He would continue failed energy and farm policies that have driven up gas prices," Bosse continued. "Of course, that was before Nancy Pelosi gave him permission to support offshore drilling. Let's see how long Paul Hodes sticks to his No Energy Plan."
Bosse's Comprehensive Energy Plan offers ten ways to increase domestic supply, remove Congressional roadblocks for new energy technology, and make America more energy independent. For more information on Bosse's aggressive grassroots campaign, go to www.Bosse2008.com.
