The DCCC Independent Expenditure (IE) will begin airing radio ads in New Hampshire responding to a recent radio spot by the conservative political group Freedom's Watch.
Freedom's Watch has begun airing radio ad and television ads targeting congressional Democratic candidates' stance on offshore drilling, PolitickerNV.com reported yesterday. The conservative group has targeted U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester) with a radio ad buy.
The DCCC ad buy is part of a national effort to combat the Freedom's Watch advertisement.
"Freedom's Watch has put more deceptive radio ads on the air as part of the shady, soft money group's plan to try to defeat Democratic congressional candidates," a DCCC press release states.
This is not the first time Shea-Porter has dealt with Freedom's Watch; earlier this summer the group conducted similar ads against the freshmen Congresswoman.
