CONCORD-At the ending of a press conference Gov. John Lynch (D-Hopkinton) was asked whether he knew anything about his primary opponent, Katy Forry (D-Jaffrey).
"I only know what I've read in the newspapers. I don't believe that I've ever met her," Lynch said.
Lynch was then asked whether he knew her name to which Lynch responded, "yes, I do know her name, it's Katy Forry."
Since entering the race Forry has received little attention from state Democrats. The Concord Monitor reported earlier this month that Forry was having trouble leaving campaign literature at Democratic offices and the two are currently not scheduled to debate.
"I want to thank you for your support and thank you for partnering with me in moving New Hampshire forward to a new energy future and in maintaining the character and the natural beauty of our great state," Lynch said a press conference.
Lynch argued that the state's environment is a selling-point to new businesses.
"We also recognize that our beautiful natural environment is part of what attracts visitors, and new businesses, to New Hampshire," Lynch added. "Our state special character and high-quality of life are among our biggest selling points and we're working to enhance them."
