U.S. Sen. John Sununu (R-Waterville Valley) will not be attending the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, PolitickerNH.com has learned.
A spokeswoman said Sununu will instead be campaigning in the Granite State.
"Senator Sununu will continue his town to town, person to person campaign throughout New Hampshire during the Republican National Convention," said Stefani Zimmerman, Sununu's campaign press secretary, in a statement. "He looks forward to campaigning with our next President, Senator John McCain, during the Senator's trips to the Granite State."
Sununu joins eight other Republican Senators who have decided to skip the convention being held the first week of September.
