Cullen criticizes Obama’s stage

DENVER--U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) has not yet given his nomination speech and the New Hampshire Republicans are already issuing press releases against Obama.

Fergus Cullen, chairman of the New Hampshire Republican Party, said the stage Obama is scheduled to speak from personifies his ego.

"It appears the only thing larger than the hype surrounding Barack Obama's speech tonight is Obama's own ego," Cullen said in a statement. "The choice to construct a columned stage for him resembling a miniature Greek temple shows that he has an almost messianic mentality that he really is the chosen one."

The stage has been nicknamed by Republicans "Barackropolis" because it features Greek columns in the background.

Sad night

I need to say I am hanging my head in shame that that is the best Ferg can come up with!

I can see it now, Ferg standing at the front of a large conference table trying to decide how to pick apart the very solid Democratic platform.

What can they attack?

The best idea is the stage?

Maybe by 2016 the Republicans can come up with something better!

Wait, he could consult with some guy that I hear is running for Governor, though you would never know it outside of Carroll County and come up with "Let's keep America America!"

That would be a little more solid than attacking a stage!

Fergus!?

Fergus -- are you kidding? Is that what the Republicans want to talk about this election year? People dying in Iraq, terrorists who were responsible for 9/11 still free because we have been diverted into an unnecessary war, an economy sinking, people really hurting, and YOU want to talk about a stage?

No wonder America has been in trouble these past eight years. But swiftboating won't work again in 2008. American voters are smarter than Republicans think.

The Greek God columns

Are you kidding me? Have you EVER seen the U.S. Capitol or other buildings in D.C.? Have you seen capitol buildings in your state? The main court house and city hall in my hometown, Pueblo Colorado, have the same exterior. The high school I attended, Pueblo Central High School, looks almost exactly like the set up last night.

This kind of complaining bullshit comes from people who can't think of any valid reason to reject Obama, so they come up with crap like this article. And most of them fall into the category of bigots who can't bring themselves to vote for a black man. People like that are a disgrace to this nation.

Obama, Palin, and the budget deficit

Palin is telling the citizens of New Hampshire that Obama's going to put us deeper into debt. That would be droll if it weren't for the painful facts-Clinton left the US with a surplus, and Bush has given us over a trillion dollars of debt. McCain voted with Bush over 90% of the time to deregulate the banks and to lower taxes for the rich. If this is such a great fiscal policy, why are we in so much trouble? Four more years of Republican administration is more than this country can stand. Vote no for four more years of Republican misrule!
