"We're very strong, we're making tens-of-thousands of calls a day," Jim Barnett said in an interview with PolitickerNH.com. "We have town chairs throughout the state and in some towns we have more than one chair. We've got a strong coalitions outreach effort and we're reaching out to voters."
Barnett added, "The campaign has always been a grassroots campaign."
Barnett also said that McCain's selection of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate has brought a "new level of excitement" to the campaign.
"People are nothing but excited. It has brought a new level of excitement into the campaign," Barnett said.
