MINNEAPOLIS--New Hampshire delegates spent Wednesday afternoon helping people affected by Hurricane Gustav, which hit the Gulf Coast earlier this week.
Delegates assembled "comfort packages" that were sponsored by Target, FedEx and the American Red Cross.
"It's something that has been on our minds since we arrived and it's an opportunity to do something to help those affected," Jayne Millerick told PolitickerNH.com.
Merrimack County Sheriff Scott Hilliard echoed Millerick's sentiments.
"Regardless of party we're all Americans," Hilliard said. "We're Americans and when Americans fall down Americans pick them up."
