Buckley: ‘McCain cannot run from his record’

MINNEAPOLIS--New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Ray Buckley issued a statement on the last night of the Republican National Convention arguing that U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) is not the type of maverick McCain says he is.

"Sen. John McCain cannot run from his record," Buckley said in a statement. "He certainly has not been a maverick during the last eight years when it came to supporting the failed policies of the Bush administration. He has marched in lock step with George Bush as he has erased the budget surplus, led us into a costly and unnecessary war, and demonstrated a complete misunderstanding of the economic realities faced by middle class families."

Buckley also said that McCain would be a third Bush term.

"It has been said before, but it bears repeating: electing John McCain will be the same as sending George Bush to the White House for a third term, and the people of New Hampshire just cannot afford for that to happen."

Come on Ray, you can do better than that

Or perhaps you can't. You've again conveniently forgot about Campaign Finance Reform, Climate Change, Lobbying Reform, Torture Reform, and I could go on. PLEASE just name ONE reform that Barack has passed in half a term as a US Senator or in the halls of the IL State House! My friend, Bush ain't gonna win it for you this year. There are two new Sheriffs in town and it's McCain-Palin and they're taking your special interests to thw wood shed!

reform truth

Hmmm.... how's this one for a start? He has also worked with republicans to keep nuclear materials out of the wrong hands.

Today (Thu Dec 13, 2007 at 23:25:28 PM CST) witnessed the launch of USAspending.gov, which was created by the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act by Tom Coburn and Barack Obama. The site enables tracking of $1 trillion in federal spending on contracts, grants, earmarks, and loans. The bill faced serious opposition, including anonymous holds by some of the biggest porkbarrel spenders (including Ted Stevens), but in the end, Coburn and Obama prevailed.

At Least McCain Has A Record

Obama's Record doesn't even exist. He has never made a real decision in his life. Really.
This guy has never been accountable or had real responsibility and now Americans are going to let him 'try out' his executive skills at the most important, demanding job on the planet.
Americans are not as dumb as Obama thinks.

If you choose not to decide, have you really made a choice?

Rudy Guiliani absolutely pinned it during his speech this week. Obama has never made a tough decision:not one. "Present" is not a choice, it's a cop-out. Executives make decisions, community activists merely rabble-rouse. He's no better than Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton or Bill Ayers. Executives take a stand, Osama makes noise and expects us to buy it. Pfft, no thanks.

Climb out of the Gutter McCain Campaign

How sad that the once admirable McCain has to have his minions to post pathetic insults and attacks.

The 2000 Straight Talk Express has morphed into the 2008 Sleaze Talk Express.

Obama doesn't think we are

Obama doesn't think we are dumb. You republicans are so hateful, at least on here. You sound like a bunch of pent up college boys or something. What are you so afraid of? A movement driven by the people, funded by the people? I do NOT understand why some would want a third term of the same policies and thinking..... more concerned with telling a good joke than telling us HOW you are going to change things.
