This weekend while votes are enjoying a restful weekend, candidates competing in the Republican primary in state Senate District three will be busy out on the campaign trail.
Sam Cataldo (R-Farmington) will be marching in the Epping home day parade and will have a booth at the Farmington hay day, while David Babson (R-Ossipee) said he will also be attending several events. William Denley (R-Wakefield) will be at the Conway parade and will also be attending a house party in Conway.
The three Republicans are competing in a primary for state Sen. Joe Kenney's seat, Kenney abandoned the seat to run for governor.
When asked to make predictions Cataldo and Denley said they did not know who would win on Tuesday but Babson added, "I think it's a toss-up. I think that David Babson is a much better speaker. I think Sam Cataldo is at a disadvantage because he's from Farmington, which is new to the district."
All three candidates will be watching the results from home but Babson told PolitickerNH.com he will wait until the morning to discover the winner.
"I have no idea how to find out how I'm doing," Babson said. "I'll wake-up in the morning and find out whether I've won or lost."

What's up with that?
Hey Sam! Since when is Epping anywhere near Carroll County? Little out of touch with who will be voting for you on Tuesday? I am sure you will take Epping and Raymond now! Good Call!
Dave was recently overheard at a campaign stop saying "I don't have time for this, I need to get back and take care of my horses". Clearly being a State Senator is a very part time job and will give him plenty of time with his Horses!
I'm just hoping Bill "Nay" Denley gets the pick on Tuesday! Let's see him try to sell his record to anyone outside of Wakefield! Can you give the whole county discounted lobster to try and win them over?
What about Bud?
Mr. Lawson forgot to mention Bud Martin being the Democratic nominee. Bud - a judge, small businessman, and community leader - has a resume' that trumps all of the Republicans in the race.
