National Dems congratulate Lynch

The Democratic Governors Association is jumping onto the Gov. John Lynch bandwagon after he soundly defeated his primary opponent, Kathy Forry.

With 45 percent of precincts reporting, Lynch defeated Forry 90 percent to 10 percent.

"The enthusiasm for John Lynch's leadership is loud and clear tonight," Gov. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), chair of the DGA, said in a statement. "In his four years as Governor, John Lynch has truly made a difference for the people of New Hampshire. He lifted the veil of secrecy around state government, championed strong ethics reform, and brought lawmakers together to deliver common-sense results."

Manchin said that Lynch has been "working hard for the people of New Hampshire every day."

"When New Hampshire has needed a leader, Governor Lynch has been there. Through it all - floods, tough economic times, the threatened closing of a shipyard - John Lynch was there for New Hampshire," Manchin added.
