Former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen's (D-Madbury) campaign has e-mailed supporters with a last minute fundraising appeal.
"Tomorrow at midnight is the deadline for our last quarterly filing before Election Day," Louisa Whitney, Shaheen's finance director, wrote in an e-mail. "We need to raise $53,000 before midnight to reach our goal for the quarter."
Whitney also told supporters that the money is needed to meet media expectations.
"The press and pundits will be looking at our numbers to judge the health of our campaign. More importantly, we will know how much money we have available for the final 34 days of the campaign. Every dollar counts," Whitney added.
