Joe Biden's trip to New Hampshire has been cancelled due to the passing of Jill Biden's mother.
Biden was suppose to visit Rochester and Manchester tomorrow.
"The Obama-Biden campaign today cancelled Sen. Biden's schedule Monday and Tuesday because of the passing of Jill Biden's mother, Bonny Jean Jacobs, this afternoon after a long illness," David Wade, Biden spokesman, said in a statement. "Other details will follow, but we appreciate everyone's respect for the family's privacy during this difficult time."
Update: "On behalf of all New Hampshire Democrats who have come to know Sen. Biden and his wife Jill over the years, I want to express my heartfelt condolences to the members of the Biden family at this difficult time. They are in our thoughts and prayers," New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Ray Buckley said in a statement.
