During his trip to New Hampshire, Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean will participate in a fundraiser for U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter.
The fundraiser is set to take place on October 13 in Manchester at the home of Bill and Kathy Gillett. Earlier in the day Dean will visit Keene State College to encourage college students to register to vote.
"From our journey in 2004 to now, you have been the backbone of the New Hampshire grassroots politics. You have been such tremendous supporters of mine and I am now asking you to support my friend, Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter," Dean says in an e-mail to Shea-Porter supporters.
According to the fundraiser invitation, for "$25 plus a promise of 3 volunteer hours of your time" a contributor will be labeled "grassroots" and a $497 contribution comes with the label "keep us on the air" and the donation "will pay for one local television commercial."

There goes the edge for Shea-Porter
Bradley brings in Republican Congressional establishment figures to help him raise money, giving Shea-Porter the opportunity to tie him to party politics over New Hampshire citizens. So what does she do? Bring in a Democrat establishment figure Bradley the chance to tie her to party politics over the New Hampshire citizens. The 1st Congressional district campaign is a like a race to the bottom. Who's the dumbest, wins.
Congrats Shea - Pelosi this
Congrats Shea - Pelosi this still doesn't hide the fact you have broken promise after promise to the citizens of New Hampshire.
Just a few reasons not to
Just a few reasons not to vote for Shea Porter:
Voted to allow taxpayer funding for cities
that deliberately harbor illegal immigrants
(Vote 485, 06/15/07)
Voted to weaken the border fence, fund 9,000 earmarks, underfund military bases (BRAC),restrict domestic energy production, reduce the states' share of royalties from energy production, continue to allow the government to take legal action against companies that require employees
to speak English, and expand the family planning program that gives taxpayer funds to the largestabortion provider in America
(Vote 1171, 12/17/07)
Voted in support of mandates that favor unions for government contracts, reduce opportunities for small businesses, and increase the cost to taxpayers
(Vote 712, 07/24/07)
Empty rhetoric and crocodile tears?
Carol Shea-Porter is a valued member of Congress. Why wouldn't her party work for her re-election? Anyone who says she doesn't represent New Hampshire will have to account for the $30 million she just got for the shipyard on top of millions in previous years. And the legislation she's filed to require the VA to upgrade their medical care for New Hampshire veterans. And the $34 million on heating oil subsidy money she got for low income people in New Hampshire for this winter.
And, by the way, did you know that the national VFW-PAC has endorsed her for re-election, saying she's strong on supporting the troops, vets and national defense?
All this is what Jeb could have done and didn't. Carol Shea-Porter has done more for New Hampshire in 2 years than Jeb did the whole time he was there. And she campaigns with honesty because she's got a real record to run on.
Carol
I believe Carol has been a great voice for NH and I am so proud of her work for the vets. I trust her and hold much respect for this woman, I cannot say the same for Bradley who has done nothing but aggitate me. I am one more vote for sending Carol back to keep fighting for us!
