Gov. Lynch Campaigns for State Senate Candidates Peggy Gilmour and Rep. Bette Lasky in Nashua
Encourages Voters to Join in Supporting Gilmour, Lasky on Election Day
NASHUA – Gov. John Lynch today encouraged voters to join him in supporting state Senate Candidates Peggy Gilmour and Rep. Bette Lasky.
“In these economic challenging times, we need leaders in the state Senate like Bette Lasky and Peggy Gilmour who will work with me and across party lines to deliver real results for the people of New Hampshire,” said Gov. Lynch. “I ask for everyone to join me in supporting Bette Lasky and Peggy Gilmour on Election Day, so we can continue to make real progress for the people of New Hampshire.”
Gov. Lynch praised Peggy Gilmour for her experience as a nurse, a leader of a health care organization and community leader, saying “she knows about balancing a budget, leading a staff and looking out for the people she serves. She has real firsthand experience in health care and she knows firsthand the struggles New Hampshire families are facing, particularly in caring for their aging family members.”
Gov. Lynch also praised Rep. Bette Lasky, thanking her for the leadership she has provided in the state House of Representatives.
“As a state representative, Bette Lasky has worked to bring new businesses and jobs to Nashua. She worked with me to sponsor and pass the research-and-development tax credit to encourage innovation and job creation; to expand job training; and to increase the minimum wage for the first time in 10 years. She was a strong supporter of our efforts to create a new health insurance alternative for small businesses, which will help them save money and continue to provide insurance to their workers,” Gov. Lynch said.
