DeVries connects McCain to Bush

MANCHESTER-State Sen. Betsi DeVries (D-Manchester) said at a Joe Biden rally that John McCain's maverick label has succumbed to his support for President Bush's policies.

"You know it was eight years ago that during the 2000 primary that New Hampshire voters met John McCain," DeVries said at Southern New Hampshire University. "He said he was a maverick who would oppose Bush on tax policy, on foreign policy then as soon as Governor George Bush became President George Bush he supported his policies."

DeVries also told the crowd that the current Democratic presidential ticket understands the struggles of New Hampshire families and the middle-class.

"If you don't think the Bush administration has done a good job dealing with this financial crisis then you won't like a John McCain administration that has the same people working for George Bush backing his campaign," she said.

Sorry Betsey

Sorry Betsey but this constant comparison to Bush won't work any longer. The residents of NH know they were fooled in 2006 and look where it got them? $500M deficit and 25 new taxes, and involvement in the phony RGGI.

We had a good economy under Bush and this recent crash is DIRECTLY attributable to DEMOCRATS and particularly, Obama and his ACORN cronies who put the pressure on to give out bad loans.

And the young people have no idea what the issues are thanks to all the media hype. Here is proof:

These people should not be allowed to vote.

Enjoy while it lasts!

Hey Betsy!

Enjoy what time you have left in the public sector because Doug Kruse is going to take you out and sit in your Senate seat, and Kevin Verville is going to replace you on the Board of Alderman.

You've turned your back on the citizens of Manchester for too long... you were too ashamed to face your constituents at the Spending Cap hearing so you turned your back and faced the front of the room. You should be ashamed!

YOU WILL BE VOTED OUT! Good riddance to bad socialists!

Stupid Republicans

How pathetic that the NH Republicans feel the need to lose all sense of reality. When will Fergus end this nonsense?

wow

This is one instance where trickle down works for the GOP. The nastiness at the top of the ticket sure is trickling down to the desperate folks here at the state level.

I'd suggest you should be ashamed of yourselves, but it's apparent that we're seeing moral pygmies at work.
