Sununu has had plenty of opportunities to help New Hampshire students. Instead, he voted for the largest cut in student loans in history, $12.7 billion. [Senate Vote # 363, 12/21/05]*Spread? Apparently Sununu hasn't been paying attention. CNN reported in February that, "The credit crisis, which started last year with mortgages and has bled into many other areas, is now affecting student loans." And on March 4, the New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation announced that it will no longer offer New Hampshire students private loans due to "turmoil in capital markets."
