Second Congressional candidate Grant Bosse (R-Hillsboro) has pledged not to seek any earmarks if he is elected to Congress.
"Congress is addicted to earmarks, and the only way to kick the habit is to go cold turkey," Bosse said in a statement.
The group FreedomWorks wants all federal candidates to sign a similar pledge.
Bosse also urged his fellow Republican candidates to sign the pledge.
"Paul Hodes is a lost cause, but today I ask my fellow Republican challengers to swear off earmarks," Bosse added.
Bosse is competing against Hudson State Sen. Bob Clegg, Concord lawyer Jim Steiner and Nashua radio talk show host Jennifer Horn in the Republican primary.
