Shaheen joins forces with Levin, DSCC

Senatorial candidate Jeanne Shaheen (D-Madbury) has created a joint political action committee with U.S. Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC).

The PAC is called Democratic Victory 2008 and was formed on March 28th.

Levin has been a vocal opponent of the New Hampshire primary and threatened to hold Michigan's primary the same day as New Hampshire's.

At the time of this posting, the Shaheen campaign had not returned an e-mail requesting comment.

Levin And Michigan Aren't Our Enemies

I have worked to protect New Hampshire's First-In-The-Nation Presidential Primary status since the early 1970s, and I want to see us continue to be first. But Carl Levin and Michigan aren't our enemies.

Senator Levin is an excellent United States Senator, and has done much for working men and women for decades. He believes Michigan and his constituents should have an early primary, and he cannot be faulted for that passion. That's his job.

The fact is, with the law that I sponsored in 1975 and updated several times since, our Secretary of State will set our primary date in 2012 "...7 days or more..." before any "similar election," and Carl Levin and others can't figure out a way around our law -- since we pay for our primary we can hold it whenever we want. We've beat him on that issue.

But, on other matters we can team up to do good things.

Jeanne will do anything to

Jeanne will do anything to win, even join forces with the horrible evil Carl "Draft Dodging" Levin. Carl Levin is the lead New Hampshire hater, if Jeanne loves her state then maybe she should disassociate herself from that loser!
