Semprini endorses Stephen

Former New Hampshire Republican Chairman, and Rudy Giuliani's state Chairman, Wayne Semprini has endorsed First Congressional District candidate John Stephen (R-Manchester).

Semprini said Stephen is the best candidate to defeat Congressman Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester).

"I think that first and foremost John stands the best chance in getting the seat back," Semprini said. "He's shown in the way that he managed the Department of Health and Human Services and he understands personal responsibility and that it takes out-of-the-box thinking to reduce spending."

Semprini's endorsement will be announced tomorrow in a press release.

Stephen is competing in the Republican primary against former Congressman Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro).

What John Stephen really

What John Stephen really needs is someone to help ratchet up the inspirational delivery - though he is very good with facts and figures.

Hey Ed, I think I really

Hey Ed, I think I really like your Sean for Governor idea, but I doubt he'd do it. One never knows, does one? That said, back on Bradley, I know for a fact that many people who supported him are angry that he left over $300,000 in his campaign coffers in the failed '06 campaign. To top it off, he actually bonused his staff with that money! A staff that failed miserably to recognze the tide had turned. He also has used a bunch of that cash to write down debt from both the 04/06 campaigns. Now, if you donated cash, would you be upset that he didn't spend everything he had to win? I know I would be. Bottom line, Bradley was woefully incompetent while in the Congress and overconfident in his failed re-election bid. Is this a guy who deserves another shot? Not in my book.

Stephen for Anything!!! Jeb for Nothing!!!

Actually I am sure most all Republicans would be very happy with John Stephen no matter what role he plays. Jeb, on the other hand, had his chance at bat but flubbed it all (except did good on RKBA) and should therefore remain retired. Plus writer "Seacoaster", I wanna see Sean Mahoney as Guv if Craig Benson won't come back.

Jeb is still under the

Jeb is still under the delusion that he lost due to a "tidal wave" (his words) against Republicans. No, he lost because he failed to heed the message of fiscal restraint sent to him by ppl who supported him th efirst time around. Those ppl sat the 06 election out, because there are few differences between Jeb and the moonbat. Stephen's record of fiscal responsibility is clear. Jeb may be ahead now, but with heavy hitters like Semprini, Burton and Griffin on his side, many others will stop, take a look and bail on Jeb, as any conservative should.

John Stephen for Governor

John Stephen should be running for Governor, not US Rep. As head of HHS, John lead the largest NH state department, he knows the budget better than Lynch and would wipe Lynch up in debate. He should do what is right for the state first, then pursue Washington.

Jeb Bradley was an outstanding representative and has the ability to beat Shea-Porter in the general election.

Republicans should be focused on a winning ticket, top to bottom. Stephen as Governor, Bradley as Rep.
