Caulfield leaves position at Blue Hampshire

One of BlueHampshire.com's three managing editors is leaving his position after getting a promotion at his day job.

In post on the website last night, one of the remaining two managing editors, Dean Barker, made the announcement.

"Blue Hampshire co-founder, managing editor and all-around great guy Mike Caulfield is stepping down from his administrative position here.  Not the great guy part, just the managing editor part," Barker wrote. "Mike recently got a major promotion at his job, and being a hard-working sort, he is, well, working hard."

"There's a number of reasons, but none very dramatic. I'd say that the main reason is lately I have very limited time and I'd like to move on to some new projects," Caulfield told PolitickerNH.com.

He said that he will be focusing his attention on local and county issues.

"I'm particularly interested in town and county level stuff -- and not necessarily just politics -- more how the internet has the capability to rejuvenate town life in general, in all its dimensions."

Caulfield said his experience with Blue Hampshire was beneficial.

"But it confirmed my belief that if you do it right, you can change the world by just putting an hour a day towards something you believe in," Caulfield said.

"I hope to bring that sense to other, future projects."

Dean Barker and Laura Clawson will continue to manage the website.
