Buckey and the bus
Did Burling throw Buckey under the bus? I don't think so. Who did Buckey think he was to run for US Senate after no experience in politics? Any fool can run, and announcing your intention for running, then fumbling around with a rookish campaign for a few months, and then getting out of Shaheen's way WAY after the writing was on the wall, does not exactly qualify Buckey for state senate. He might start where Houde started- running for a house seat.
Houde seems like a sharp guy, though he's making a quick jump himself. But he seems imminently more qualified to run than Buckey- at least he's won a political race in his lifetime, which is -13 years off Buckey's.
