Last week Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta attended a meeting on a bill proposed by State Senator Joe Kenney (R-Wakefield) that would eliminate the so-called "view tax."
Guinta was invited to attend the meeting by Tom Thomson, who is leading an effort called "ax the view tax.
Mike Biundo, a Guinta political advisor, said "Mayor Guinta attended the meeting hosted by Tom Thomson on the view tax so he could hear firsthand the accounts of those who feel that too many mistakes are being made in view assessments across New Hampshire."
"He shares their concerns and understands that what was once just a factor in setting a property's value, has now become a new tax on an intangible asset," Biundo added.
Guinta is contemplating a gubernatorial candidacy and recently started the Granite State Leadership PAC. Kenney has announced that he will also run for governor.

Because the want an income tax...
The Dems want an income tax. That is wht they are spending like druken sailors and ratchiting up our property taxes.
Time for Leadership
Guinta should run because NH needs leadership now more then ever. We have a Governor who spends his way into problems then tries to take credit for fixing it. That is not leadership and that is not what we need in Concord.
Guinta for Gov...
I am guessing that wouldn't be the only tax he wields and ax to.
