Rep. Hager retiring?

A locally reported Concord blog picks up on rumors that longtime state Rep. Liz Hager (R-Concord) may not run for re-election this year.

Reporter Tony Schinella's OurConcord blog says Hager responded in an email saying, "Don't you think 26 years is enough?"

A Class Act

Liz Hager is a good person, and is as "fresh" today as she was in her first year. The Legislature would lose a lot of valuable institutional memory and can-do how-to knowledge if Liz Hager does not return. We haven't always agreed, and we've even had our "fights." But it's not how long you serve that counts, it's how you serve. Liz Hager has always been a class act.

Full slate

There are already 4 real Republican candidates committed to running in Merrimack-12. To answer Hager's question, YES, 26 years is more than enough.
