Obama leads McCain in new NH poll

NASHUA -- The first New Hampshire poll since the two national political conventions shows Barack Obama leading John McCain outside of the margin of error.

The CNN/Time Magazine poll gave Obama a 51 percent to 45 percent lead. The poll had a margin of error of +/- 3 percent. This poll may be evidence that the Granite State is bucking the national trend this week of higher numbers for McCain since Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's speech a week ago.

Since Obama clinched the Democratic nomination in June both presidential candidates have been locked in a tie within the margin of error.

After being basically ignored by presidential candidate lately, the Granite State this week sees visits from Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden, Obama and McCain.

For a moment I thought it was a true poll, then I noticed it was a CNN/time poll.

I appreciate reading the intellectual postings by the NHGOP/NHAC staff. Reminds me why it is so important to keep them out of office.

If my NH history serves me correctly... McCain seems to do rather well in New Hampshire as the underdog. I believe he is 2-0 in this capacity and Barry Obama lost in January when he was the favorite...

NH polls will probably stay this way until a week before voting and Johnny Mac will win by 15 points... history teaches us plenty. just saying....

McCain must be fuming.
NH should be a cake walk for the "mavwreck."
McSame's straight talk veered right between 2000 and 2008. The poll numbers show NH voters won't fall for it.

I'm angry about the last 7 1/2 yrs. WE OWE TOO MUCH MONEY $$$$$ TO FOREIGN COUNTRIES.
