WMUR reporter Adam Sexton has been named to replace Scott Spradling, the station's anchor and political director, leaves next month to start a public relations firm.
Sexton said in an e-mail that his position is temporary, though it could become permanent after a national search is completed.
Like Spradling, Sexton is a Syracuse graduate. Known as one of the more cerebral reporters in telesion he won an Emmy in 2007 and while at Syracuse was named one of the top five collegiate television reporters in America. He joined WMUR as a reporter in November.
Spradling leaves WMUR on April 11.

They're MAKING him temporarily fill in?
It sounds like you're saying he's being forced to do it, as opposed to being tapped to do it. It's a not-too-subtle difference.
