Jeanne Shaheen Statement on Passing of Cong. Tom Lantos
MANCHESTER – Former Governor and US Senate candidate Jeanne Shaheen issued the following statement upon learning of the death of Congressman Tom Lantos:
"Tom Lantos' devotion to America, the country that took him in after his heroic survival of the Holocaust, and the struggle for international human rights was surpassed only by his devotion to his family. He was a giant in the Congress and a charming gentleman. My thoughts and prayers are with Katrina and Dick and their children."
