Rochester, Manchester schools again cited for lack of progress
School progress reports released yesterday by the state Department of Education keep city schools on a short list requiring "corrective action."

NH Senate gives preliminary OK to global warming initiative
CONCORD — New Hampshire's Senate has given preliminary approval to entering a 10-state regional effort to cut greenhouse gas emissions to preserve the state's climate and way of life.

Candidates, mill redevelopment up for vote in Newmarket May 13
NEWMARKET — Residents on Tuesday, May 13 will vote on eight warrant articles covering the mills, flooding, the town budget and emergency services.
At the deliberative session last month, residents simplified a mill zoning question removing potentially confusing language. Now the non-binding and advisory warrant would direct the Town Council and Planning Board to revise zoning of the mills to allow a combination of residential and commercial redevelopment.
