Citing personal reasons, Democratic Manchester State Representative Michael DesRoches has resigned.
Since January 2007, DesRoches has not cast a single vote.
DesRoches told The Union Leader that he has been dealing with personal and financial problems.
"I was concentrating on myself," he said. "Because if I didn't have a clear mind, with everything going on with my depression, how (would) I be able to actually vote correctly?"
His District 10 seat will not be filled because the deadline for special elections has passed.

And the Sullivan Dynasty further crumbles
Two years ago Peter Sullivan withdrew his candidacy for congress "for health reasons", meanwhile he tapped his Bar Room co-worker Mikd DesRochers to create a primary for state rep in his ward. With Sullivan's backing DesRochers won the primary and then the general, he showed up to get sworn in and never went back. DesRochers resigned today.
Last year Sullivan decided to run against the incumbent alderman, another Democrat, but accepted the GOP support (and openly supported Guinta)and once again he tapped one of his bar room coworkers Jennifer Peabody to run, this time against the incumbent Democrat School Board member, with Sullivan's help she won, was sworn in, barely showed up, didnt live in the ward and resigned.
After proving himself unworthy of selecting anyone for any office representing ward 3, are the Mayor and Alderman seriously going to allow this loose cannon pick another bar room coworker to replace Peabody on the Manchester School Board?
Wake up City Hall!
