Just before Arizona U.S. Sen. John McCain visits Nashua tomorrow, the New Hampshire Democratic Party released a statement this afternoon attacking the presumptive Republican presidential nominee's record on renewable energy.
In the statement, state Democrats suggest that a McCain presidency would be like re-electing President George W. Bush for a third term, and warn that GOP's nominee would not promote renewable energy initiatives.
"Granite Staters should consider whether they can afford a third term of Bush-like gas and energy prices because that's what they will get with John McCain," said state Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-Exeter).
The statement comes paired with a video aligning McCain with Bush, and emphasizes that the Republican presidential hopeful's scheduled tour of a wood pellet factory is nothing more than a "photo-op."
