RGA calls Dems claims 'laughable and legally unsound'

The Republican Governors Association (RGA) has responded to claims that it is conducting illegal push polling in New Hampshire.

“First and foremost, RGA’s current strategy and tactics in New Hampshire are legal. Second, we do not discuss them with the media or the Democratic Party. Third, this complaint is laughable and legally unsound,” said RGA Communications Director Chris Schrimpf in a statement.

"We are stunned by the Republican Governors Association's continued contempt for New Hampshire law. They made the same claims in n 2004 -- until the AG issued a cease and desist order and a judge issued an injunction. Fergus Cullen, Frank Guinta should call on their friends to stop this illegal activity and start following NH law," said New Hampshire Democratic Party spokeswoman Pia Carusone.
